Please see the following troubleshooting steps if you're having trouble downloading and installing native applications for Google mobile products like the Google Mobile App, Google Maps, or Gmail.
Accessing m.google.com
If you're using a third-party mobile web browser like Opera Mobile or if your browser is set to view websites as if you were on a computer, you may end up with the wrong download site or version of an app when visiting m.google.com. If you're on the wrong download site, select the link in the upper left corner that says, 'On a mobile device? Click here.'Please use a native browser, such as Internet Explorer Mobile or the BlackBerry browser, so that your device is correctly detected by m.google.com. For the BlackBerry browser, check that your device is correctly detected as a BlackBerry using the following steps:
- Open the BlackBerry browser and open its menu by pressing the BlackBerry menu button
- Go to Options > Browser Configuration
- Set 'Emulation Mode' to BlackBerry
Permissions
Make sure you've allowed the application to access your mobile data network using your phone's network or connections settings
BlackBerry devices
- Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications > [Google app you're installing] > Edit Permissions (using the BlackBerry menu button)
- Check that all your device's permissions for the application you're installing are set to Allow
Nokia S60 devices
- From your phone's main menu, navigate to Tools > App. mgr. > [Google app you're installing]
- Select the appropriate default access point to connect to the Internet
- (Optional) To reduce permissions requests, you may also set Network access to Always allowed in this settings menu.
