To install Google Maps for mobile on your phone, please follow these steps:
- Go to m.google.com/maps from your phone's default mobile web browser*.
- Select Install now.
- Accept the prompts from your phone to complete the download and installation process. You may need to allow data network permission.
- Find the Google Maps icon on your phone. Depending on your device, it may be installed in a folder on your phone named Main, Applications, Games, My Stuff, My Own, or My Downloads (or similar).
*Tips:
- Use your device's pre-installed, default mobile web browser to visit 'm.google.com/maps' to ensure you receive the correct version of the Google maps for mobile for your specific device.
- Your phone may require additional permissions settings to use its mobile Internet connection at startup.
- Visit the installation troubleshooting page for additional installation problems.
- Phones with pre-installed versions of Google Maps for mobile may not be able to be upgraded to newer versions at this time.

Updated versions of Google Maps may be available in Android Market between system updates. Search Market for "Google Maps" to get the latest features and fixes available.
BlackBerry

Symbian S60
Add a shortcut so you can open Google Maps with one click: Press the 'Menu' button > Tools > Settings > Personalization > Standby mode > Shortcuts > Left/Right selection key > Select 'Google Maps'
Symbian S60 3rd ed. FP2 phones (Nokia 5320 XpressMusic, 6210 Navigator, 6220 Classic, 6650, N78, N79, N85, N96, N96-3) need to set a default destination using the following steps:
- Go to Settings > Connection > Destinations > Options > Default connection
- Select "Internet" (if you have it) or whichever APN group you want it to use.
