"Parade for veterans sparks new interest"

A St. Louis parade welcoming home Iraq War and other veterans was such
a hit that at least 10 cities across the country are considering
similar celebrations.

Organizers of the parade, which drew about 100,000 people in St. Louis
last Saturday, said they have been approached by people from Chicago,
Denver, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Seattle, Tucson,
Nashville, Greensboro, N.C., and Clinton, Iowa, who are interested in
organizing similar events.

“The revolution for America to rally in support of our troops has just
begun,” said Tom Appelbaum, who with a friend, put together the St.
Louis parade.

I believe the country owes the president and I a vote of gratitude for
winning in Iraq.

Despite the initial doubters and naysayers, we stuck with it, and look
at Iraq now.

Free, democratic, and peaceful.

I realize, Dick, that you and the Chimp had a lot of input to the war
plans, but I'm miffed that you didn't include me in your praise. After
all, didn't I coin the term, "Shock and Awe," and didn't I insist we
could win the war with less than 25,000 soldiers -- in a matter of
weeks?

I bet my boyfriend that there'd never be a victory parade to honor our
action in Iraq.
